INSTRUCTIONS

This is a test server for playing (the first few minutes of) Assassin's Creed 2 offline.

Web server is now included, no need to have it separate anymore. Thanks to SomeOneBody.


First, make sure you have version 1.0.0.115 of the Ubisoft Game Launcher.
Version 1.01 of AC2 is recommended, but not required.


Edit your hosts file and add these entries:

127.0.0.1       static3.cdn.ubi.com
127.0.0.1       ubisoft-orbit.s3.amazonaws.com
127.0.0.1       onlineconfigservice.ubi.com
127.0.0.1       orbitservice.ubi.com
127.0.0.1       ubisoft-orbit-savegames.s3.amazonaws.com

Then run "ipconfig /flushdns"


Finally, run server.exe and start your game.


Notes:
- Log in with any random username/pass.
- After logging in, there might be a few seconds of delay, haven't found the reason yet.
- You should be able to get PAST the white Animus screen, but not much further.
- Loading and saving savegames remotely should fail, that's normal.
- The mitm.exe program can be used with a legit copy of the game to find
  challenges and responses and place them in values.db

1. Go to System manager
2. Programs &Functions
3. Activate & Deactivate Windows Functions
4. Deactivate the hook before "Internet Information Services"

Which versions of Assassin's Creed 2 work with this emulator?

In theory, all versions, that are able to connect Ubisofts servers, can connect to the emulator too.

Do i need to modify my game files?

No, because this is no crack, it's a server emulator, you must use the untouched retail files. The only thing you must edit is your hosts file. For this, read the readme
